Build Season Update 1/16

We are a little over a week into build season, and here is a summary of what’s been accomplished:

  • We have a chassis built, and an electronics board designed for it
  • The DS software and the Eclipse plugins have been updated
  • A prototype gear holder has been built and tested
  • Prototypes of a rope climber, fuel pickup, and low goal dumper, and shooter are in progress
  • A CAD model of the complete robot has been started

Next steps:

  • Update motor controller firmware
  • Fabricate electronics board
  • Finish prototype mechanisms
  • Get gear holder made out of sheet metal
  • CAD mechanisms and figure out how to fit them onto the robot
